Ice Skating

Hi, my name is Rachel. I am 20 years old and am the oldest of 4 children. Although I maintain my Texan pride, my family recently moved to Angola. I am a Junior at Brigham Young University, majoring in English and minoring in Editing. I am in love with anything related to pumpkins.

My earliest memory includes my parents. We were skating (probably at the Seven Peaks Arena, now that I think about it). I was skating in between both Mom and Dad. Mom was on my left, and Dad was on my right. I remember feeling so...safe. That was nice.

Edward de Bonon once said, "A memory is what is left when something happens and does not completely unhappen." I assert that memories are strange, mostly because they are so incomplete. You try to piece together these fragments in your brain...a patchwork quilt of your life that has a hole here, a seam missing there; but, you try to complete it the best you can because...well because it's you. Even if you're full of holes, you're still you.

Aldous Huxley: "Every man's memory is his private literature. "
