"Ventanas"
in La Jornada
Every
Sunday, La Jornada, a Mexican newspaper, publishes
a short piece by Eduardo Galeano. These are called, collectively,
ventanas, or "windows." Here below are
links to every one of them I could find on La Jornada's
Web site And that I could get up here so far; check back
for more later). There are a ton of them. As far as I can
tell, most are unpublished in book form, and most are untranslated.
This here has got to be the most comprehensive list of links
to Galeano's writings on the Internet. Unfortunately for
English-only speakers, these are all in Spanish.
Also
note that there is a new ventana every Sunday. If
this page isn't updated with the most current Sundays' ventanas,
you can go directly to La Jornada (www.jornada.unam.mx),
enter the date you want at the bottom of their page, then
click on "opiniones" on the left sidebar menu,
and you should see a link to Galeano's stuff.
Note
that these links will open a new browser window (so this
site remains open and you can get back to it easily).
