Corrupt Politicians and Two-Faced Uncle Sam

During the course of my life, I've seen some pretty bad political scams and shenanigans from the leaders and representatives of our country.  These include sex scandals and lack of morals.  Some of the rules and regulations that form our system are so often bent and broken that people seem to just disregard them.  It makes me sick to see that "upstanding" figures can get away with such ludicrous things so easily.  And yet the common, hardworking, middle class guy so often gets the shaft from the system.  The way they think: put ourselves ahead of others instead of actually doing what we get paid to do.  All of the money that is wasted on precious campaigning and paying off everyone who helped get them into office could be used in a positive way.  Maybe like that little thing called the national deficit, or use more money to  put back in the educational system, which should be a higher priority than it is right now.

The next points that I have to deal with are Clinton, his wife, and anyone who claims to associate with the two.  Would you believe me if I were caught in a bald-faced lie on national television that dealt with an affair with my intern.  Trust in general wouldn't be fully regained until Billy Bob redeemed himself by showing that he could be trusted once again.  How do you believe someone at all when they are lying about getting it on in the oval office?  I think that if Clinton would have told the truth about the whole affair, he would just be an average person who makes mistakes.  It takes a man to fess up and account for your responsibilities.  "Regular" people who are not in the public eye don't have it so easily.  When you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, I hope that is what you really mean.  Morals? Ah, who needs morals these days, just do what you want, when you want to and with whomever you want.  You'd think that Hillary would have been upset with old Slick Willy, but instead she just slapped him on the wrist and continued her busy political life like nothing ever happened.  It goes to show that when someone is given just a little bit of power, it's probably going to be taken advantage of, abused, and misused.

One thing that I really want to vent about is how most of the wealthier citizens get scorned for their hard work and social status.  They pay higher taxes and receive little if any returns from the I.R.A.  And on the other hand, the ones in poverty are rewarded for sitting on their butts and pretty much acting like catfish, sucking off the leftovers. It's time for them to get up and start doing something not only for themselves, but for the ones who are funding their lifestyle.  Our great government has sunk low enough to even pay you for sitting on your behind.  That's right, have some kids out of wedlock, file for welfare, buy a satellite dish and a new car, and just wait for that check that comes every month.  This isn't how it works for everyone, but it's not unheard of.

Politicians in general are not all bad.  There are some good ones however.  Hopefully the good guys can set examples for the other crooked, two-faced, biased and corrupt politicians.  Unfortunately the rapid growth of the world will inevitably lead to a downfall or forceful overthrowing of the current system. This would happen because we get so involved in politics that we don't worry about the "little guys."  The people are stronger than the system, but are weaker and less intelligent in their minds.  After all, everything is of the people, by the people, and for the people.  Or is it really?
