All around the world people deal with death differently. Some people believe that there is a spiritual life after death, while other people believe that there is a physical life after death. No matter what you believe in it all comes down to the simple fact that we all die sooner or later. Everyone has their own traditions in life, either passed down or from their religion. In Brazil, some of the people there use the tradition where children are buried with their eyes open so that they can find their way to heaven easier. This may s seem a little strange, but if you think about it, it is really a good idea. If I were a mother who just lost my child I think that I would want him/her to be buried with her eyes open so that I know she will find God. In the Catholic religion Catholics use the traditional burial, where you have a showing the night before the funerall where all family members can come and view the dead. Them the next day is the funeral where you have a church service and then the casket is taken to the burial site. At the burial site everyone stands around and pays their last respects to the dead. In ancient Egypt the dead were embalmed and wrapped in cloth. Then the family members leave their organs in an urn in tombs. The family members also leave gifts and things they think the dead will need in their after life in their tombs for them. All religions do things differently but no matter what you are or where you are from we all end up passing eventually. Even though we all miss our loved ones when they are gone, giving them the proper burial will make their passing a little easier on you. |
