Dreams at the End of Exile/1

Helena dreamed she was trying to close her suitcase and couldn't, and she pushed down on it with both hands and knelt on it and sat on top of it and stood on top of it, and it wouldn't budge.  Mysteries and belongings gushed from the suitcase that wouldn't close.

Jessica's Interpretation

         The presence of a suitcase in Helena's dream indicates unpleasant cares.  The fact that she's dealing with her own luggage implies that she is very self involved with personal problems right now.  Using her hands as she does in the dream is a representation of self ability, perhaps social or otherwise, and the fact that she is struggling with using her hands implies a sense of self-inadequacy.  In other words, the dream appears to have occurred during a time of great self-doubt for Helena, and is a strong reflection of her deep pain.
