          Helena dreamed that she was talking on the telephone to Pilar and Antonio, and so she wanted to embrace them that she managed to bring them from Spain over the wire.  Pilar and Antonio slid down the telephone line as if down a toboggan run and landed, quite unruffled, in our house in Montevideo.
