MORALS
Everything we see, hear, or experience relies on perception. Morals rely on what "they" perceive to be "right" or "just". Who's to say what's right or wrong? They then turn to the Bible, or the Qu'ran, or the Torah or countless other religious texts. Within these texts lie the path that every person should take, but the only problem is that they all say different things! Morality in the Torah, which is basically the Old Testament of the Bible, lies in everything you do, experience, even eat. There are a whole set of laws on what you can and cannot eat. I believe that it should be up to the individual to interpret his/her holy book on their own, and try to obtain an understanding so that they can have an honest, deeply rooted faith. So, without organized religion, how do we judge what is moral and what is not? Do we have a clear cut right and wrong? Ask yourself would you think that premarital sex, murder, or theft is immoral without the teachings of religion? Please email me your opinion here
